Christmas Again!

Seriously, I can't believe I am hanging Kimi's stocking up for the 4th year in a row! and she is not here yet! the good news is that this year we HAVE added a stocking for someone who is here! Little Anthony! He turned a year old on the 16th and this is going to be fun! He really has no idea!

It looks like we will have at only one more Christmas after this without her! I hope. My heart will just break if it is more...

This year for some reason is harder than last... Maybe it is because we have Anthony this year and Kimi is the last one we are waiting on... (that we know of) I have already shed quite a few tears this season. What is hard is that i need to be excited about it all for Alex and Anthony. And seriously, I don't think any of our family around here gets it... So really I feel ridiculous feeling sad about her not being here. but I really can't help it, it is just some feelings. Valid ones.

Today at church we had the Children's Christmas program... where the kids put it on... most of the younger kids dressed up in traditional "costumes" from countries around the world! Then they carried a posterboard with their country's flag on it. It was so cute! Of course Alex and Anthony wore vests that we brought back from kaz and i took the dresses that Jerry bought for Kimi the first time we were there, so a little girl could where them. One little girl put on one dress, but she never actually participated in the program. So when we came home Alex said he wanted to wear them... I told him that boys don't usually wear dresses, but i would let him try them on, if he really wanted to... silly boy! He jumped at the chance! Crazy boy! Of course, it made me tear up seeing him in a little girl's dress! mostly because there is supposed to be a little girl wearing them!!! Craziness! So i have pictures of him... and as soon as i figure out the problem with my Photoshop program, i will post a couple. He so DOESN"T look like a girl!!!

Oh!!! We also got a little girl kitten!!! Jerry brought her home for me the day before Thanksgiving! She is such a cute little fur ball! No lie! her hair is so long... it must be 2 inches long... which makes her look way bigger than she is... but she is really so little. She was about 7-8 weeks old when we got her so she has grown alot in about a month now! I will also post a photo of her. We named her Lucy MuMu. As we were looking thru the babyname book we came across our favorite name to laugh at... Moon Unit! I can't believe someone actually named their baby that, but whatever! Jerry wanted to call her that and shorten it to MuMu, so now we call her Lucy MuMu! She is gray like the moon, i guess. She is soooooo cute!!!!! She is so playful too! I had forgotten how much baby kitties like to play!!! She chases Romeo and Tiger mercilessly! Poor Tiger... he is very upset by the whole thing... he hisses at her so hard sometimes and then growls... and she just doesn't let up! So anyways... the point is... at least we have another girl in the house again!! Yay!!!

Dearest Kimi!! we miss you already! I hope China sends you home sooner than later! Love, Mama!

Merry Christmas!

Petition...

Recently it has come to my attention that if the USCIS does not follow the laws concerning the Hague Agreement, that thousands of families will be forced to pull their dossiers out of China and never receive their child!!! That just makes me mad!!! USCIS is making up their own rules and creating a huge problem for those of us that have already been waiting for 2 or 3 years already! I am posting a link to a blog that tells all about it and no matter who you are, if you would please sign the petition they have and also send a letter to your representative that would be great!!!

Just the thought of having to pull out of China ourselves or have to start the wait all over makes my heart race as we have been waiting YEARS already for our Kimi!!! Its really making my heart sore!!!

Please, Please, Please sign the petition and send the letter!!!!

Another year...

I can not believe it has been a year since I posted!!! so much has happened... the referrals form China have slowed to a crawl... as in maybe 5 days of LIDs a month!!! They are just now referring the last week of January 2006! As in... 2 years ago!!! So people receiving referrals lately have waited 2.5 years from LID! We are expecting to wait at least another 2 years for Kimi... unless some kind of speed-up happens! So sad... Some days I am very saddened by the fact that i still do not have a baby girl in the house... and the girl i did have... a kitty... disappeared! Someday... she will come!

So meanwhile we decided to move on and keep going! So we are in Kazakhstan right now... Today we became the official parents of Anthony Graham Cook. He is from Uralsk, where Alex is from, and even the same Babyhouse!!! He is precious! Born December 16, 2007! We will have been gone about one month when we return home on August 7!
