Finally... I get my blog on RQ!!
For those hopping over from RQ, Welcome!! We have been logged in since August 8, 2006 and just switched to Special Needs in June, we found our first daughter just a week and a half after switching and our second daughter a month or so later! Should you be interested you can start back in June and follow the whole story! We feel honored that God has called us to bring two girls home at the same time! It is completely a dream come true!
What is even more exciting, is that China has started allowing two adoptions at once as long as you qualify and choose a Special Focus Child as well as another child. This is an amazing answer to prayer, that i never even imagined!
We are currently fund-raising... we have sold a lot of things from our household and donations that we have been given, we still have lots of things listed on ebay and craigslist. Our biggest item we would like to sell is our motorhome... we are a little sad to see it go, it has been such a great motorhome, but we would a millions times over rather have our girls from China!!
We would really appreciate your prayers for us. For our daughters and for our boys who will be staying home with Grandma and Grandpa while we go to China. Please pray that we are able to travel very, very, very soon! I have been praying for the 7th... :)
Thanks so much for comments! We love them! Its so nice to hear from everyone. We love the support!!
Update on Maria!

We finally received the translations of maria's update in August. Here is what they said:
She is inward and likes to play with those who she is familiar with. She often stays in the hug of her nurse, whose voice would always attract her attention. Everyday in the playhouse, she waves to nurse, touches her face with smile and happily learns some simple words like YAYA from nurse. She would also learn the songs if nurse sings to her.
Jia Yi likes to stack fairy tale books into a pile and then takes them down one by one. Sometimes she covers the pile with small handkerchief to play for longer time.
She is very concentrated when listening to stories on the laps of nurse. She likes those stories so much.
She could stand on her own now and walk if holding the armrest. She would look for nurse after making every step. Holding the milk bottle she is able to drink all by herself and keeps looking at her nurse. She is so concentrated that her nose is even sweating. She gained weight after adding solid food into her diet.
It just makes me want to go get her all the more...Wednesday, September 1, 2010
Letters of Confirmation!!!
We still have a lot of things to sell around here! I have been listing stuff... and we sold about $220 on Sunday. So we are plugging along!!
Tomorrow... I am going to go look at car seats... I found some that will fit side by side in the truck... and they meet my safety requirements. (i'm a little of a freak) So that should be kind of fun. I am looking forward to that. Depending on the price, i may order them online, but i wanted to see their quality in person. We'll see. I have some time anyways.
This little cutie turned up at our shop the other day... She was sooooooo skinny, you could feel EVERY bone in her little body! we have fattened her up and loved on her and our friend Bonnie and her family are going to take her home this weekend. We're her "foster" family. :) She is so sweet... she purrs constantly. We have taught her to use a litter box and she is eating regular cat food that we soak in water. She has long-ish fur too. I have been calling her Raspberry, because I caught her in the raspberry bed.
